Steps
1. Two inanimate objects were to be chosen for a visual story.
2. It must include 15 shots and 10 of the 15 shots must be an establishing shot, a long shot, two medium close ups, two close-ups, and extreme close up, a point of view shot, any type of shot using a high angle, any type of shot using a low angle.
3. Content and organization should be planned
4. Pictures with phones must be in landscape mode.
5. Must be put together in a PowerPoint/Google slideshow. All images must be labeled with shot type/angle and a maximum of 2 lines of why it was used.
I approached the development of the final product with the intent to show how consumerism is bad. My two items were a notebook and a pencil. Throughout my shots I showed how the pencil was used and left behind after each use. I showed the pencil when it lost all its use gathering dust. I meant to show it this way because people leave stuff behind and stop caring what happens to it after it becomes useless, which leads to them not caring about the effects the object may have on the world.
I feel like some pictures were clunky and not fluid while going from one picture to the next. I feel like I had the right idea for a good video but a bad idea for anything else. I should have thought of a storyline that would have worked better with camera shots.
